Design of Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter Topology for Integrated Portable Power Pack Application

This paper presents the necessity of portable power supplies that can be carried and cater to all users' demands. Since energy storage pack are coming from DC supply, it needs an inverter convert voltage into AC voltage. Most low-priced inverters in market have a simple build inefficient, resulting high THD cause electrical appliance not work properly. project was focused on most suitable type where cascaded H-bridge multilevel with PWM switching technique proposed. will produce better higher output level when is increased. theory proved 3-level, 5-level 7-level Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter has 52.05 %, 29.98 % 21.94 THD. These results prove by increasing reduce For hardware implementation, 5-Level chosen because lower compared 3-Level at same time use less semiconductor devices 7-Level fewer losses SPWM technique. The circuit models reaches 24 V_pk 28.3 which slightly simulation result, %. then connected step-up transformer ratio 1:10 reach standard supply Malaysia 230 V_rms 28.4 without load 30 load. proves model properly as show good agreement.
